摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image decoding apparatus which performs various signal processing by parallelizing in decoding image data while suppressing an increase in usage of cache memory. <P>SOLUTION: The image decoding apparatus includes a syntax component compression part 2 which executes compression processing to each syntax component extracted by syntax analyzing processing to a bit stream, and classifies the obtained post compression syntax component based on the type thereof, a plurality of syntax component evolution parts 32 which corresponds on one-to-one basis to any one of the classified syntax component groups, and restores an original syntax component by evolving the syntax component belonging to the corresponding group, and a plurality of signal processing parts 33 which correspond on one-to-one basis to any one of the syntax component evolution parts, and performs signal processing according to the type thereof with regard to the syntax component restored by the corresponding syntax component evolution part 32. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p>
