BLOOD PRESSURE INFORMATION MEASURING DEVICE FOR MEASURING PULSE WAVE VELOCITY AS BLOOD PRESSURE INFORMATION

In a measuring device, the blood pressure in an upper arm and the blood pressure in a lower extremity (ankle) are measured using cuffs which are respectively mounted on the upper arm and the lower extremity (S101).  The pulse wave in the upper arm and the pulse wave in the lower extremity are synchronized and measured using the cuffs (S103).  The pulse wave velocity between the upper arm and the lower extremity (baPWV) is calculated on the basis of the time difference between the timings at which the two pulse waves (S105, S107) respectively appear.  The pulse wave velocity in the upper arm (upper arm PWV) is calculated on the basis of the time difference between the timings at which the ejection wave and the reflected wave in the pulse wave in the upper arm (S109, S111) respectively appear.  When the values of the wave velocities are different (YES in S113), a warning is reported (S115).
