PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installation device for an air conditioner capable of preventing forward sagging of the air conditioner and of obtaining sufficient installation strength. SOLUTION: Side plates 4 are connected to both ends of the back face plate 3 by hinge mechanisms 5. The back face plate 3 is mounted to a room wall. The side plates 4 are opened rightward/leftward to have an opening posture. The back face of the air conditioner 2 is locked on the back face plate 3. By rotating the hinge mechanisms 5, the side plates 4 are made to face forwards to have a support posture. Received parts 14 of a cabinet 6 are placed on flanges 13 of the side plates 4.
