The device has a cooking vessel e.g. household pot, set with a check valve (5) in a larger gas-tight vegetable container. The vegetable container is closed with a cover in a gas-tight manner. A respiration filter (3) i.e. air filter, is supported at a gas outlet opening. The respiration filter filters air emanating from the vegetable container. The air is guided to the respiration filter via gas pipelines and gas hoses (2).
