PURPOSE: A method and a system for controlling a call using RTP port verification and voice packet monitoring are provided to check an RTP port through which a voice packet can be received using echo server before a call by a VoIP service. CONSTITUTION: A network call unit(111) transceives a voice packet through a specific port to supply a call. A port verification unit(112) confirms whether the specific port can receive a packet before the network call unit provides the call. A packet monitor unit(113) checks a voice packet transceiving state of the specific port. A message display unit(114) displays a message corresponding to the voice packet transceiving state.
