PROPAGATION DELAY TIME ESTIMATOR, PROGRAM AND METHOD, AND ECHO CANCELER

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the frequency of defining error time as an estimation result in the estimation of propagation delay time. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A propagation delay time estimator estimates propagation delay time that is a time difference between a first discrete time signal and a second discrete time signal which are originally the same signal. The propagation delay time estimator includes: a means for converting the first discrete time signal into a third discrete time signal which is expressed by the smaller number of quantization bits and converting the second discrete time signal into a fourth discrete time signal which is expressed by the smaller number of quantization bits; and a means for calculating an estimation value of the propagation delay time by using the third and fourth discrete time signals.
