RECOMBINANT PEPTIDE MOLECULE FOR TREATING SAPROLEGNIASIS

The present invention presents a crude extract based on a new peptide molecule designed and built combining a doublet of cecropin A obtained from Drosophila melanogaster, the regular structure thereof (CECdir) being joined to the inverted sequence thereof (CECret). The resulting gene possesses the configuration CECdir-CECret. The doublet of this new molecule was cloned in the T7 promoter inserted in the plasmid pET27b+ and expressed in E. coli BL21. The cell extract obtained rich in the antifungal molecule was applied and the activity thereof against the fungus saprolegnia was analysed in vitro and furthermore in vivo.
