ADAPTIVE USER INTERFACE SYSTEM AND METHOD

PURPOSE: An adaptive user interface system and method are provided to determine the movement and the coordinates of marker which is attached to a body part of a user from an infrared ray image, thereby instinctively and conveniently providing a user interface corresponding to the movement of a user. CONSTITUTION: A controller(110) has a marker. An infrared camera(120) records the controller to generate an video about the controller, and removes a noise of the video to generate a infrared image about the marker. A coordinate determiner(130) determines a coordinate corresponding to the movement of marker and the movement from the infrared video. The coordinate determiner maps the determined coordinates to a new coordinate by proportion a distance of the marker to the infrared camera. A display device displays the mapped coordinate as an image.
