The support (1) has a circular ring (10) comprising a front arm (12) and a rear arm (14) respectively having two fixation points for fixing the support to a longitudinal front side rail (20) of a motor vehicle. The rear arm includes a programmed breaking point having reduced mechanical resistance, and the fixation points are separated from one another. A controlled deformation zone of the side rail absorbs energy in case of an impact on the motor vehicle. The deformation zone is entirely included between the fixation points of the support in a longitudinal manner.
