<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion picture reproducing apparatus and motion picture reproducing method in which delay of frame processing that temporarily occurs during motion picture reproduction can be corrected without dropping frames even without ensuring excessive data throughput. <P>SOLUTION: During reproduction of a moving image based on motion picture data, a series of frame processes such as frame image displaying process, frame data decoding process and frame data reading process are implemented synchronously with a display timing of a frame image corresponding to a frame rate. If a frame process is delayed in any display timing by temporary occurrence of an excessive processing load in comparison with a data throughput, the next frame process is started without waiting for a display timing (Tn+2, Tn+3). By performing the frame processes without break, the delay of the frame process incurred during motion picture reproduction is gradually corrected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
