PURPOSE: A trash discharge valve in a garbage gathering system is provided to be prevented from being arbitrarily opened even though an operation unit of opening and closing the trash discharge valve has problems. CONSTITUTION: A garbage gathering system comprises a chute(8), a garbage conveyance tube path(9), a trash discharge valve(7), and an opening/closing device. Garbage is put into the chute. The garbage conveyance tube path is supplied with the garbage put into the chute and transfers the garbage to a gathering storage place. The trash discharge valve is installed on the lower part of the chute and discharges the garbage put into the chute to the garbage conveyance tube path. The opening/closing device opens and closes the trash discharge valve. The opening/closing device comprises a locking device(1,4,4a). The locking device prevents the trash discharge valve from being arbitrarily opened due to the weight of the garbage.
