PURPOSE: A method for detecting antifungal active material in polyene from a microorganism culture extract is provided to quickly detect an antifungal active material. CONSTITUTION: A method for selectively detecting antifungal active material in polyene is performed using ergosterol. The antifungal active material of polyene has an antifungal mechanism by binding ergosterol on a Eumycetes cell membrane and causing damage to a cell membrane. The Eumycetes is Candida albicans ATCC10231. The antifungal active material is amphotericinB.
