PURPOSE: A portable control device and a communication method using the same are provided to expand more remote control function by creating selectable button images on a display. CONSTITUTION: A controller(121) operates direction of a robot. An I/O(Input/Output) switch panel(123) receives information from a user. The I/O(Input/Output) switch panel indicates robot state through a state display LED(Light Emitting Diode). An I/O controller(126) processes input information. A control computer(140) processes input data through a control I/O module(120). The control computer controls communication with the robot through a communication module(130).
