[Also in Division B5] A shoe upper 12, Fig. 4, having the upper leather 14 and inner sole 15 secured by stitches 16 in an extruded polyvinyl chloride frame 17 formed with ribs 19, is welded (see Division B5) to a polyvinyl outer sole 13 having a higher plasticizer content than the frame 17. The middle portion 13 a of the sole is arched upwardly and provided on the underside with supporting profiles 13b. In a modified frame 21, Fig. 5, the ribs 19 are provided only in the outer zone thereof. The shoe upper abuts against a bead rib 23 and is held by stitches sunk into a groove 24. |
