METHOD FOR PREVENTING DEHISCENCE OF BRONCHIAL STUMP

A method for preventing the dehiscence of the bronchial stump comprises the sealing of the stump with three lines of the sutures, one suture being applied mechanically and two other sutures – manually. First, the mechanical suture is applied at the region to be resected. Then the mattress suture is applied manually in parallel to the mechanical suture. The same ligature in the reverse direction is used for applying the blanket suture involving the mattress suture and the stump defect.
