PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a solar energy charging method thereof are provided to proceed a charge more efficiently by transferring information about the solar energy charging to a user. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal includes a solar plate(400), a battery(190) and a control unit(180). The solar plate condenses a solar energy. The solar plate creates a current. The Battery charges the outputted current. Based on intensity of the current, the control unit calculates charging information. The control unit indicates the charge information in a display unit(151).
