<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply system which enables the extension of the cruising range of a vehicle by using a navigation apparatus thereby restraining the power of an on-board battery from being consumed. <P>SOLUTION: The system includes an energy storage device Bn for navigation, which supplies a navigation apparatus Nv with power, separately from an energy storage device Bv for vehicles, and a controller 10, which controls the power supply state to the navigation apparatus Nv. The navigation apparatus Nv can switch the power supply state on the vehicle side, to which one hand or both of the power generated in rotary electric machines MG1 and MG2 and the power from the energy storage device Bv for vehicles is supplied, and the power supply side on the navigation side, to which the power from the energy storage device Bn for navigation is supplied. The controller 10 selects the power supply state on the vehicle side when it fulfills the specified requirement of power supply on the vehicle side, in running of the vehicle by the driving force of the rotary electric machine, and selects the power supply state on the navigation side when it does not fulfill the requirements of power supply on the vehicle side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
