PURPOSE: A method for differentiating islet-neighboring cells to cells which secrete insulin is provided to enhance differentiation yield and supply islet cells by reducing apoptosis. CONSTITUTION: A method for differentiating islet-neighboring cells to cells which secrete insulin comprises a step of adding 15-25% of serum and 15-30mmol/L of glucose and a step of culturing. The method also comprises a step of adding embryonic stem cells or embryoid body to cell solution containing acinar cell or ductal cell, a step of adding 15-25% of serum and 15-30 mmol/L of glucose, and a step of culturing.
