PURPOSE: A novel porcine transmissible gastroenteritis virus(TGEV) is provided to use in TGEV research as a genetic marker and to use as an active ingredient of vaccine composition. CONSTITUTION: A porcine transmissible gastroenteritis virus(TGEV) contains a spike comprising an amino acid of sequence number 1. The TGEV contains a nucleotide sequence encoding an amino acid sequence. The TGEV has deposit number KCTC 11494BP. The TGEV is detected by determining nucleotide variation at the site 655, 1122-1123, 1126, 1145-1153, 2446, 3704 and 4231-4232 of nucleotide sequence number 2. A vaccine composition contains the TGEV as an active ingredient.
