PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding machine capable of easily centering a fixed side die and a movable side die with high accuracy without providing special equipment. SOLUTION: A die centering button 57 of a display-setting means 33 is pressed twice. A die centering mode is thereby started (step S1), and a mold opening-mold thickness retreat process (step S2), a mold closing-mold thickness advance process (step S3) and a mold opening-mold thickness advance process (step S4) are sequentially carried out. A tail stock 3 is thereby located in a position where predetermined mold closing force is obtained. Mold closing (step S5) and mold opening (step S6) are then repeated a plurality of times to carry out centering of the fixed side mold 15 and the movable side mold 16. Mold closing is then performed again (step S7) to firmly fasten the fixed side die 15 to a fixed die plate 2 and to firmly fasten the movable side die 16 to a movable die plate 5, thus completing centering work of the dies 15, 16.
