PURPOSE: An indoor unit of an air conditioner is provided to cool/heat a wide space by moving a discharge assembly forward. CONSTITUTION: An indoor unit of an air conditioner comprises a main body, an outlet unit(21), a driving unit, and two guide members. The main body comprises a base and a cabinet. The air outlet unit is installed to be lifted in the direction of a slope to the main body and opens/closes an upper outlet selectively. The upper outlet discharges the conditioned air. The driving unit supplies power for the movement of the outlet unit. The two guide members guide the moving direction of the outlet unit. Both ends of each guide member are rotatably connected to the main body and the outlet unit, respectively.
