PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for mounting a pleated screen, which prevents the pleated screen from easily coming off from a head box or a bottom rail, even by the self-weight of the pleated screen or even when the pleated screen is pulled downward. SOLUTION: One end of a fixing plate 2 mounted on the upper end side of the pleated screen 1 is equipped with an L-shaped cross-section engaging piece 3 formed with an engaging hook portion 4, and an inserting portion 5 is formed at the other end of the fixing plate 2. The head box 6 comprises an engaging portion 8 in which a hook portion 9 for being engaged with the engaging hook portion 4 of the fixing plate 2 is formed in such a shape as to overhang in a horizontal direction, and an insertion-portion 7 into which the inserting portion 5 of the fixing plate 2 is inserted. The inserting portion 5 of the fixing plate 2 is inserted into the portion 7 from the horizontal direction, and the engaging hook portion 4 of the fixing plate 2 is engaged with the hook portion 9 of the engaging portion 8, so that the fixing plate 2 can be fixed to the head box 6.
