<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display capable of causing a light emission target object to emit light with high accuracy, and to provide a light emission control method. <P>SOLUTION: A control unit 221C sets a length of a voltage signal application period Tv and a length of a current signal application period Ti according to intensity of causing a light-emitting element EL1 included in a pixel circuit G100 to emit light.
