<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor driving circuit which prevents the short circuit between both terminals of a DC power source, in case that the DC power source is connected reversely, and also to provide an electric power steering apparatus which has the motor driving circuit. <P>SOLUTION: This motor driving circuit 40 includes a transistor 71 which is connected in parallel together with a first voltage dividing resistor R1 constituting a voltage dividing resistor 31, between the source and gate of a second MOSFET 44 for cutoff. In case that a battery 92 is connected reversely, a compensating drive circuit 72 switches on the transistor 71 with the output of the battery 92, whereby the source and the gate in the second MOSFET 44 for cutoff is short-circuited. It prevents the formation of a closed circuit which includes the battery 92 and an inverter circuit 41, thereby preventing both terminals of the battery 92 from short-circuiting. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
