<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bacterial strain capable of reinforcing the production of maytansinoid, and reinforce so as to produce a sufficient amount of ansamitocin for making the easy commercial development of the bacterial strain, and a method, etc., for producing a plurality of maytansinoid ansamitocins by culturing the above in a proliferation medium containing a suitable carbon source. <P>SOLUTION: This mutated bacterial strain of the Actinosynnema pretiosum named as PF4-4 (ATCC PTA-3921) is provided. The bacterial strain proliferates under various culturing conditions and produces the maytansinoid ansamitocins such as ansamitocin P-3, in improved yields as compared with those of conventionally known strains. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
