<p>The present modular assembly is based on a plurality of components, all or some of which are used in various arrangements in order to make up furniture. The invention comprises, first, one or more main supporting components (1) (1a) (1b) (1c) and one or more foot components (4a) (4b) with which the structure is assembled by means of couplings (1f) and securing clamps (3); second, the invention comprises a main supporting component (7) and other, auxiliary components (5) (6) (8) (9) (10) (11) (12) which are mounted in cantilever fashion by means of corresponding recess means (2a) (2b) (2c) (2d) (4c) (4d) (4e) (4f) (10). The fact that there is a number of main supporting components (1) allows the erection of furniture of different heights.
