<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, having improved operability when making an information recording carrier come into contact with a scanner. <P>SOLUTION: A scan panel 51 is mounted in parallel with an operation display panel 50, which is provided at a side part of an image forming apparatus body. On an upper surface of the scan panel 51, a placement part 52 is set whereon a contactless card is placed, and information can be scanned through radio communication with the placed card. The height of the upper surface of the scan panel 51 is set to protrude from an operating surface of operating keys 53, or the like, of the operation display panel 50; and when the card is to be placed, the card can be placed, without fail, without carelessly touching the operating keys 53, or the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
