<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the coldness felt by a user during deicing operation. <P>SOLUTION: In the air conditioner configured to terminate deicing operation, when an outdoor heat exchanger temperature detected by an outdoor heat exchanger temperature detection means becomes a first predetermined temperature or higher during deicing operation, and return to heating operation, the value of the first predetermined temperature for terminating deicing operation and returning to heating operation (return temperature) is set slightly low in initial deicing operation after installation of the air conditioner, whereby repetition of deicing operation is eliminated to reduce the probability of freezing of substrate.
