The present invention provides a platen of a molding system. The platen comprises a force receiving structure, an intermediate structure and a mold support structure. The force receiving structure has four respective tie bar accommodation corners, each corner defines a tie bar channel. The respective tie bar accommodation corners can resist, at least in part, coplanar disorientation relative to the mold support structure. |
