PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the usability of an information providing system for providing position-related information as information related to a position.

SOLUTION: A positioning terminal 10 having a positioning function or a display terminal 20 transmits position locating information IL received by the positioning terminal 10 from a positioning infrastructure 30 and transmission destination designating information for designating the transmission destination of the position-related information generated in an information generating section 120 to an information providing server 100. In this way, the user can receive the position-related information by the display terminal 20 having no positioning function without registering a mapping table associating the positioning terminal 10 and the display terminal 20 in advance into the information providing server 100.
