PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To preserve the evidence that an electronic document has been created and registered by a user himself/herself, at low cost. SOLUTION: When a user inputs a password that only the user can know into an evidence preservation apparatus 100, an input unit 101 receives the input of the password. An information providing unit 107 provides the password received by the input unit 101 to an electronic document. A signature unit 108 provides an electronic signature to the electronic document including the password.
