<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tile-roofing-like folded-plate roof material capable of being stably supported on a beam of a building and free from distortion. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The tile-roofing-like folded-plate roof material comprises a long-sized folded metal sheet 10a folded in zigzag by mountain-folds 11 and valley folds 12 and including a step formed nearly perpendicularly to the mountain folds and valley folds. The lower section of the step 13 is provided with a mountain fold distortion alleviating section 14 formed by forming a recess 14a in part of the mountain fold by extending the step further downward and forming ribs 14b, 14c projected upward oppositely to the extending direction of the recess on right/left sides of the recess. The upper section of the valley fold is provided with a valley fold distortion alleviating section 15 formed by forming a protrusion 15a on part of the valley fold by extending the step further upward and forming recessed ribs 15b, 15c extending downward oppositely to the extending direction of the protrusion on right/left sides of the protrusion.
