PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical composition containing a polyallylamine polymer with few side effects of which the decomposition rate is in tolerance limits. SOLUTION: The stable polyallylamine hydrochloride polymer is used in the production of a medicine for curing hyperphosphatemia, wherein the polymer contains 4-12 wt.% chloride anions and 9.0-27.0% of amine groups in the polyallylamine polymer are protonated.
