An image generation method, which generates image information of an image (C) from an image (A) and an image (B) that has a higher resolution than the image (A), enlarges the image (A) to create the image (C) that has the same resolution as the image (B); estimates each pixel position of the image (C), the existence or absence of its corresponding point in the image (B) and a position of the corresponding point; and sets image information of the corresponding position in the image (B) at the pixel position in the image (C) where the existence of the corresponding point is estimated. The image information of the pixel position in the image (C) in which the absence of the corresponding point is estimated by the corresponding point estimation may be created from the image information in which the existence of the corresponding point is estimated and is set.
