NOVEL COMPOUND RAMALIN AND USE THEREOF

PURPOSE: A novel compound ramalin, a producing method thereof, and a use thereof are provided to easily separate the oxygen-resistant ramalin compound from a ramalina terebrata. CONSTITUTION: A producing method of a ramalin compound comprises the following steps: crude-extracting a dried sample of a ramalina terebrata using a polar solvent selected from water, low grade alcohol or their mixture; removing a fraction extracted in a non-polar solvent from the crude extract; selecting the non-polar solvent from the group consisting of hexane, chloroform, benzene, carbon tetrachloride, and pentane; and collecting a fraction showing the antioxidant activity by applying the extract to a liquid chromatography.
