A turbine blade (200) for use in an engine is provided. The turbine blade (200) includes a platform (206) and an airfoil (204). The platform (206) includes a surface (228) configured to define a portion of a flowpath, and the surface (228) includes an initial contour configured to plastically deform into an intended final contour after an initial exposure of the blade (200) to an operation of the engine. The airfoil (204) extends from the platform (206).
