A panel forming apparatus (10) comprises a press with two half dies (13,14) for forming a sheet of material (22) interposed therebetween and having a scrap area (23) projecting out of the die. A frame consisting of two sliding ledges (17,18) is provided for clamping the peripheral region of the sheet protruding from the die and, at the end of the forming process, for further translating over the half dies (13,14) in order to cause or assist the separation of the scrap from the product formed in the half dies (13,14). |
