The upright part of a car seat, when at a 45 degree angle, is locked into position by a ratchet 6, a pin mechanism 7-8 and a motor with cog attachments 9 into either bottom corner of the seat, where the upright and vertical parts of the seat meet. The ratchet 6 is secured to upright and lower support bars within the seat which are attached to floor mountings. The mechanism 7-10 is also attached to the horizontal metal support bars within the seat. The ratchet 6 and pin mechanism 7-8 is locked and unlocked in and out of position by the motor and cog attachment 9 turning against metal teeth 10 which are part of the pin. The motor and cog 9 is activated by a remote sensor. This remote sensor can also raise up and lower down the back part of the seat using another motor that can be attached to the ratchet and secured to the support bars. The mechanism can be boxed in and attached to support bars for added security.
