An LED lamp which reduces the problem of phantom light effects with a parabolic reflector 2 with a parabolic reflector surface 4 and a cross-shaped baffle 6, which divides the reflector surface 4 into quadrants. In each quadrant the baffle 6 has a baffle surface 8 that faces the parabolic reflector surface 4, and is matt black. An LED light source 10 is positioned at the focal point of the parabolic reflector 2 and is rear firing, so that it faces the bottom portion of the parabolic reflector 2. The baffle 6 provides a physical barrier to the reflection of light across the reflector 2. In use, a significant portion of the light is absorbed by the baffle 6 surface due to its low visible-light reflectance. |
