<p>The lifting support (1) has an outer tube (3) and an inner tube (4) that is pivotably supported at a mounting (2) held at a vehicle frame (R). The tubes are connected by a drive device comprising a drivable threaded spindle such that the support is movable from a horizontal resting position to a vertical supporting position with the drive device. The inner tube is telescopable in a supporting position by the spindle.
