A metal hose clamping strap, adapted to form a band for encircling a hose to be clamped, has a row of perforations 4 any one of which can receive a hook 3 situated at one end of the strap to form the band, the strap adjacent the hook having a U-shaped portion 2 which in use is collapsed (by a pair of pincers) to apply tension to the band. The non-hooked end is tapered in thickness. The strap can be stamped from a metal strip the width of which corresponds either to the width or length of the strap. |
