The invention consists of two devices, which acts simultaneously for solving fee problems in public transport, said apparatuses are the validator equipment and the driver scanner equipment. The validator equipment forms part of a system that is used for billing public transport prepay cards, the cards used for paying the transport fees being of the smart type, where upon approaching the cards to the validator, this latter element is activated, thus discharging the corresponding amount and enabling the user to access the transport. The validator is operated along with the driver scanner, which is an extension thereof. The hardware is based in a commercial microcontroller of the HC08 family of 8 bits, which includes a module at the inner portion thereof for scanning approaching cards. The driver scanning equipment is required to work along with the validator, said equipment being used by the driver of the bus where the device has been installed. Both equipments are interconnected throug h a shield harness for reducing electromagnetic noise. The driver scanner is able to receive the smart card, said cards being only used by the driver and act as a system identification card. The driver scanner has an electronic WARNING device of the CPLD EMP3032 type located at the inner portion thereof, for interpreting the communication with the validator and for scanning the smart cards.
