PURPOSE: An image forming apparatus and a printing control method thereof are provided to offer convenience to a user by selecting a preferred item between printing time and printing quality. CONSTITUTION: An image forming apparatus receives a print command from a user(S410). The image forming apparatus decides sufficiency of auto color matching performance conditions(S420). If the auto color matching performance conditions are satisfied, the image forming apparatus inquires performance of an auto color matching(S430). According to the inquiry result, the image forming apparatus proceeds one operation among printing and the auto color matching(S440).
