An apparatus, and a method of installing said apparatus, comprising a tray adapted for mounting permanently in a recess in a road surface, the tray providing a support surface and restraining walls for an item of road furniture, such as a speed hump, and an insert adapted to fit the tray so as to interact with the wheels of passing traffic, the insert being replaceable without disturbing the mounting of the tray. |
