METHOD AND EQUIPMENT FOR ENCODING

An encoding method for combination encoding of the hybrid automatic repeat request-acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) signal is provided by the present invention. In the method, the HARQ-ACK signal is encoded as different code words according to different cases. An encoding equipment is also provided by the present invention. Using the encoding method and equipment provided by the invention, not only the requirement of combination encoding for the feedback information on the two carriers on one High-Speed Dedicated Physical Control Channel (HS-DPCCH) channel in case of downlink dual carrier is met, but also the error probability of the transfer between signals is reduced, especially the error probability which may result in high layer retransmission, the unnecessary high layer retransmission is reduced, and the transmission rate of the system is improved.
