<p>The device comprises an arm (7) at the end of which a detector is radially fixed to a longitudinal axis Y of the arm, and a driving module of the arm comprising a unit for pivoting the arm around an axis X normal to an upper face (5) of a mold (2) and located on its periphery and a unit for rotating the arm around its axis Y combined with the arm rotation around X axis to allow the detector to fit into the runner. The mold has an upper surface placed in front of an installation for feeding molten metal (4) in which one runner opens. Single actuator is kinematically connected to the module. The device comprises an arm (7) at the end of which a detector is radially fixed to a longitudinal axis Y of the arm, and a driving module of the arm comprising a unit for pivoting the arm around an axis X normal to an upper face (5) of a mold (2) and located on its periphery and a unit for rotating the arm around its axis Y combined with the arm rotation around X axis to allow the detector to fit into the runner. The mold has an upper surface placed in front of an installation for feeding molten metal (4) in which one runner opens. Single actuator is kinematically connected to the driving module to provide the driving force to it necessary for rotating the arm around the X axis and to the rotation of the arm around its Y axis. A support plate receives a roller bearing centered on the X axis on which a turntable is arranged. The turntable receives two bearings, which provide the rotary motion of a shaft coaxial of the Y axis at end of which the arm is fixed. The shaft is equipped with a pin off-centered with respect to the Y axis and in that the support plate is equipped with a fixed joint, which is placed on the path of the pin when the turntable is rotated so that during the rotation of the turntable the pin stumbles against the fixed joint thus rotating the shaft and the arm around the axis Y. A hairpin spring comprising many turns and two radial branches is engaged on the shaft. One of branches is supported on a pin exceeding a level while the other branch bears a movable pin placed at the end of the shaft. The actuator has a body in which a rod moves linearly, where the rod is kinematically connected to the turntable. The actuator rod has a ball in which a set of rods is inserted that cross the support plate by an opening. The pin is fixed in a V cut of a wedge of which the position is adjustable with respect to the axis Y. The device is placed on a support column within which the unit of feeding is arranged.</p> |
