PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road information acquisition device capable of accurately acquiring road information of a route where an own vehicle drives. SOLUTION: When a road altitude and a road gradient of a route where an own vehicle drives are acquired, first road information is calculated based on land surface altitude for normal roads. Meanwhile, for roads where presence of a structure such as a tunnel, an overhead structure, a bridge, a road on embankment and a road on cut land is determined, and second road information different from the first road information accumulated in advance is acquired. Since, with the structure, the road does not run along a land surface and a difference between the land surface altitude and the road altitude increases, the correct first road information cannot be acquired if calculation takes place based on the land surface altitude. However, by complementing by the pre-accumulated second road information for the road of the structure, the road information of the route where the vehicle drives can be accurately acquired.
