<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular lamp unit and a vehicular lamp, which apply light even to an upside of a cut-off line of a light distribution pattern so as to raise visibility on a front side. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicular lamp unit 20 comprises: a reflector 27 for forward reflecting direct light from an LED 25 near an optical axis Ax, the LED being disposed posterior to a rear side of a focal point F of a projection lens 35; a shade 29L for blocking a part of the reflected light from the reflector 27 and a part of the direct light from the LED 25 to form a cut-off line of a light distribution pattern; a first reflective surface 31 for left light distribution, which has an elliptic reflective surface and is formed on a tip portion of the reflector 27 for reflecting a part of the direct light from the LED 25 downward to the front of the shade 29L; and a second reflective surface 38 for left light distribution, which has substantially a plate shape and is formed on the front of the shade 29L and below the rear side focal point F of the projection lens 35 for reflecting the reflected light from the first reflective surface 31 for left light distribution towards the projection lens 35. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
