<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intersection running support system configurable at low cost, capable of properly switching a traffic signal according to a traffic condition in the periphery of an intersection. Ž<P>SOLUTION: From the detection result of an onboard peripheral obstacle monitoring device 51, a vehicle turning to the right or left generates passing condition decision information, indicating incapability of right/left turn for an expected time (T01) because of the presence of a pedestrian (moving body), and transmits the information to signal-side radio equipment 102. By this, a signal control unit 100 can know that the vehicle is incapable of right and left turn because of the presence of the moving body traversing an outflow path is present in the intersection, and controls to switch the signal according to the condition. Because the passing condition decision information to be used for the signal switching control is generated from the detection result of the peripheral obstacle monitoring device 51, and a sensor etc. for vehicle drive support can be used for the peripheral obstacle monitoring device 51, the intersection running support system can be configured at low cost.
