<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for designing a spectacle lens for correcting the influence of a distortion angle or a tilting angle. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for designing the spectacle lens includes an astigmatism refractive power addition step of adding astigmatism refractive power to cancel an aberration or a degree error generated by the distortion angle of a spectacle frame 2 on the refractive surface of spectacle lens 1. In the astigmatism refractive power addition step, spherical refractive power S, astigmatism refractive power C, and an astigmatism axis Ax in the untilted state of the spectacle lens 1 are calculated by numerical expression (1) Dv=Ds*2n/(2n+sin<SP>2</SP>α) and a numerical expression (2) Dh=Dt*2n/(2n+(2n+1)*sin<SP>2</SP>α) which are reverse to Martin expression, wherein n denotes a refractive index of a lens material, Ds denotes vertical direction refractive power obtained by prescription, Dt denotes a horizontal direction refractive power obtained by prescription, Dv denotes vertical direction refractive power in the untilted state of the spectacle lens, and Dh denotes horizontal direction refractive power in the untilted state of the spectacle lens.
